We are out here on East Street in Allur. It’s a quiet spot near Sethiyathope, not too far from Chidambaram. Being in the Cuddalore area means we deal with the heat and the rain just like everyone else. The office is just a simple place where we spend most of our hours. My cousin helped me set up the furniture last summer, and it has stayed that way since. We go by the name Student. It’s nothing complicated. Most days are pretty similar, starting with a walk down the street to open up. The neighbors know us, and we know them. Sometimes a cow wanders onto the road, and everything slows down for a bit. That is just life here. We don't have fancy websites or big signs hanging outside. Just a small board so people know they found the right place on East Street. We do our own thing and don't bother anyone. The roof leaks a tiny bit when the monsoon gets really heavy, but we just move the chairs out of the way. It’s a comfortable enough space to work in. We get a lot of dust from the road, so there is always cleaning to do. We aren't trying to change the world or anything like that. We are just local people working in Allur, trying to stay busy and get through the pile of tasks on the table every morning. It’s a small life, but we like it well enough here.
