Star Foundations

We are based at No 50/1B, Karaneeswarar Koil Street in Mylapore, Chennai. It is a very old and traditional part of the city, right near the City Centre mall. The street is usually full of people going to the temple or heading toward the shops. Our office is a simple ground-floor space where we handle all the work for Star Foundations. We deal with the heavy stuff—digging, piling, and making sure the base of a building is solid. Because of the type of work we do, there are always muddy boots near the entrance and stacks of technical drawings on the tables. The room is a bit dark because the buildings in Mylapore are so close together, but we have enough lights to see the blueprints. It can get loud outside with the temple bells and the traffic from the main road. We don't have any marketing people or fancy receptionists. Usually, it is just one of us sitting at the desk with a calculator and a phone. We spend a lot of time out at job sites, so the office is mainly for the paperwork and meeting with contractors. It is a humble setup in a busy neighborhood. We’ve been around this part of Chennai long enough to know how the soil behaves and what it takes to get a foundation right in these narrow streets.
