Standard Electric Co

Standard Electric Co is tucked away at No 138 on Thambu Chetty Street, which is right in the middle of all the noise in Parrys. It’s a busy place and honestly, sometimes it’s hard to even find a spot to park a bike nearby. We’ve been here for a while now and the shop is mostly just filled with boxes and parts we use every day. The building isn't anything special to look at, but it gets the job done for what we need. Most of our mornings are spent checking what came in the day before and making sure the inventory isn't a total mess. Thambu Chetty Street has a lot of energy, though it can be a bit much when the weather is hot and the traffic isn't moving. We spend a lot of time on the phone or just dealing with folks who drop by to ask about certain electrical bits. The air is always thick with the sound of horns and people shouting outside. We keep a couple of old desks in the back where we handle the paperwork, though it usually piles up faster than we can get through it. It’s a simple setup we have here at 138. We don't have fancy displays or anything like that. People just know where we are and what we do. It’s just the daily routine of keeping things running in a crowded part of town.
