Stambh Design Studios

Stambh Design Studios is based out of the K K Complex on Arcot Road. We are at 3/12 in the Porur area, though it’s also quite close to Ashok Nagar. If you are looking for us, we are near the Sony World showroom. Chennai traffic on Arcot Road is something else, so we usually get to the studio early before the noise starts. The office has a lot of sunlight, which is good for looking at drawings but makes it quite warm. We have a couple of large tables for spreading out blueprints and some computers that are always humming. We don't have a big sales pitch or a fancy lobby. Usually, there are just rolls of paper and coffee mugs everywhere. Most of our day is spent drawing or talking to contractors on the phone to see if the pillars are straight. It’s a lot of technical stuff that might seem boring to some people, but we like it. We walk over to the small shops nearby for snacks in the evening. The area is quite lively with people shopping at the complex. We’ve been in this spot for a bit and the regulars know us. We just try to get the designs done without making too many mistakes on the measurements. It’s a steady pace of work, nothing too hurried, just focusing on the details of whatever building project is on the desk that day and making sure the client is happy with the plan. It takes time but we like the results.
