St Anne Study Center

St Anne Study Center is located right in Choolaimedu on Ramanujam Street. If you know where the More Super Market is, we are just a short walk from there at New No 11. The building is an older one, but it works for what we need. We spend most of our time helping students with their homework and exam prep. It gets quite loud in the evenings when the school day ends and everyone piles in at once. We have a few different rooms set up with tables and chairs. Sometimes we have to move things around to make space if a bigger group shows up unexpectedly. The street outside can be a bit tight with parking, so most people just walk or get dropped off. We’ve been running things here for a bit, and we know most of the faces that come through the door. It’s not a huge operation, just a few of us making sure the kids stay on track with their books. We keep some extra pens and paper in the drawer because someone always forgets theirs. The walls have some old charts on them that have been there for years. It feels like a second home to a lot of the students who spend their afternoons here. We just keep the lights on and the doors open for whoever needs a quiet spot to study in this part of Chennai.
