Srinivasa Academy

You can find us at No 35 on Rajaji Road in Tambaram West. We are on the first floor. If you see the More Super Market or Vasanth & Co, we are right there upstairs. It’s a very active part of town, so it is never really quiet. The stairs are a bit narrow, so you have to watch your step when you’re coming up for the first time. Srinivasa Academy is basically just a few rooms where we get things done. Being above a supermarket means there’s always people coming and going downstairs, and you can hear the hum of the street all day long. We’ve got some old furniture and some newer pieces mixed in together. It’s not a designer space, but it works for us. The windows look out onto the main road, and you can see the trains sometimes if you look far enough toward the station. Tambaram West is always crowded, especially near the station area, so getting here takes some patience with the local traffic. We usually have tea in the afternoon from the small stall nearby. We don't spend much time on appearances. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but the current work is more important than that right now. We just show up, do the hours, and head home. It’s a local operation, nothing more, nothing less. We’ve been in this building for some time and know the shopkeepers downstairs pretty well. It feels like home.
