Sri Velan & Co

We are set up as Sri Velan & Co at 45, Ramakrishnapuram. It’s a familiar spot for many people around here. We’ve been operating out of this building for quite a while, and the routine hasn't changed much over the years. Most of our day involves talking to people who stop by and managing the stock we have on hand. It’s a straightforward kind of business. We don't use any complicated systems; we just keep track of things the old-fashioned way. The shelves are usually full, and sometimes it takes a minute to find exactly what a person is looking for, but we get there eventually. Ramakrishnapuram is a good community, and we feel like a part of the landscape now. We aren't trying to expand into some giant company. We are happy just being here and doing our daily work. The shop can get a bit crowded when a few people come in at once, but nobody seems to mind waiting a bit. It’s just the way things are. We try to keep things honest and simple. There is no polish here, just some wooden counters and the usual tools of the trade. If someone needs something, we do our best to help them out with what we have in the back. It’s just steady, everyday work for us, and we plan to keep it that way as long as we can. It has been a good run so far.
