Sri Vasavi Communications Egmore

The shop is right on Pantheon Road, just opposite the Egmore Museum. If you’ve been to Fountain Plaza, we’re basically right next to it. It’s a busy part of Egmore, always plenty of traffic and people walking by. We’ve been operating Sri Vasavi Communications from this unit for a while now. Mostly it’s mobile phones, sim cards, and getting repairs done for people who live or work around here. It gets quite loud outside with the buses and the autos, but inside we just focus on the work at hand. People coming from the museum sometimes pop in because their battery died or they need a quick charge. We don't have a huge staff, just a few of us making sure everything is running okay. The space isn't very big, so we have boxes of accessories stacked up in the corners. We try to keep things simple and honest. If a phone is broken, we look at it and tell you straight if it can be fixed or if it’s time for a new one. No point in making things more complicated than they are. Egmore is a central place, so we get people from all over the city, not just the locals. The rent is a bit high in this area but being near the plaza helps with the foot traffic. We spend a lot of time talking to customers about different mobile plans. It’s a straightforward business. We keep our hours pretty regular, though sometimes we stay a bit late if a repair is particularly tricky.
