Sri Siksha Academy

Sri Siksha Academy is located on Venkat Narayanan Street, which is in the Ullagaram-Nanganallur area. Our building is New No 8, or Old No 4 if you're looking at the older markings. We are directly opposite the Oil Mill Bus Stop, so it's a very convenient spot for anyone taking public transport. I set this place up because I wanted to provide a space for students in this neighborhood to get some proper guidance. It's a modest academy. We don't have air conditioning or plush carpets. It’s just a regular building with classrooms that have seen a lot of use. We mostly help students from the local schools around Nanganallur. Our approach is quite simple: we look at the school syllabus and make sure the students actually understand it instead of just memorizing everything. We spend a lot of time on practice problems. Sometimes we have to repeat things many times, but that's part of the job. The street outside can get busy with people waiting for the bus, but it's usually calm enough inside for studying. We aren't trying to be the biggest or most famous center in Chennai. We just want to be a reliable place for the families living around here. Most of our new students come to us because their friends or cousins already study here. It’s a small, local operation, and we like it that way. We just show up every day and help the children with their work.
