Down in Vaikundapuram 2nd Street, you will find Sri Rudran Instruments Co. We are at the old number 56, which is now 145. Nungambakkam can get quite busy during the rush hour, but our little corner is usually manageable. We spend our days surrounded by various instruments and tools. It’s the kind of place where things are a bit dusty because of all the equipment we keep in the back. We aren't a big shop with shiny floors or fancy displays. It’s more of a workspace where we check things and talk to people who need specific parts or repairs. Sometimes a customer comes in looking for something very old, and we have to dig through the shelves to see if we still have it. The neighbors know us, and we usually have lunch at the small stalls nearby. It’s a steady kind of life. We don’t use any complicated software to run things, just the usual notebooks and a computer that’s seen better days. Dealing with instruments requires a bit of a steady hand and some common sense. We just take the orders as they come and try to finish them without too much fuss. If someone calls with a question, they usually talk to whoever is closest to the phone. It is a simple way of working, and it seems to suit us just fine. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
