Sri Padhma Constructions

We are over at Maramalai Nagar, right on Vallal Adhiyaman Street. I started this because I liked building things that actually stay up. We do a lot of masonry and concrete work around here. It's a small crew. We mostly deal with residential stuff, like adding a room or fixing a leaky roof. The office is at number 40 in the M.I.G. area. It’s nothing special, just a desk and a bunch of blueprints. Most of our tools are kept in the back of the truck anyway. Working in construction means we're usually covered in dust or cement by noon. I don't mind it. People know us in the neighborhood. We don't do those huge skyscrapers, just honest houses for families. Sometimes the rain slows us down, and that’s frustrating for everyone. But we get back to it as soon as the sun comes out. We've been at this address for a bit now. It’s convenient being near N.H.1 because getting materials delivered is faster that way. I spend a lot of time talking to suppliers and checking on sites. It’s a lot of physical labor. My hands are usually rough. We don't use big fancy words to describe what we do. We just lay bricks and pour concrete until the job is done. It’s hard work but it keeps us busy and pays the bills. Most of our jobs come from people seeing our trucks or talking to neighbors who had work done. We just show up and build. We don't do sales pitches.
