Sri Janani Clinic

Sri Janani Clinic has been here at 4 Kamarajar Salai for quite a while now. If you know Mylapore, you know how busy this stretch gets with all the shops and people walking around. Our space isn't very big, but it works for what we do every day. Most of the people who come in live just a few streets over or they work nearby and stop in when something isn't feeling right. We open up early in the morning because that is when most folks want to be seen before they head off to their jobs or the market. It can get a bit crowded in the waiting area sometimes, especially on Mondays, but we try to keep things moving along. The building itself is an older one, so it has that specific feel of the neighborhood. We don't have fancy leather chairs or anything like that. Just some plastic ones and a desk where we keep our registers. Sometimes the traffic outside is so loud we have to close the front door just to hear what people are saying. We handle a lot of common coughs, fevers, and the usual stuff you’d expect from a local clinic. It is mostly just us doing our work and talking to the neighbors who have been coming here for years. We know most of the families by name now. It’s just how it is in this part of town. We stay open until the evening most days.
