Sri Ganesh Gifts

We’re located in Karthik Apartments on the Velachery Main Road. The shop is No. 231/2. Being in Dhandeeswaram Nagar means there’s always people walking by. Sri Ganesh Gifts isn't a huge store, so things are tucked into every corner we can find. We’ve got statues, photo frames, and some clocks that tick a bit too loud when it’s quiet in the evening. The traffic on Velachery Main Road is always a nightmare, so we hear honking all day long. I usually sit near the door to catch whatever air comes in. We’ve been here for a while, and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint soon. People stop in when they are going to a housewarming or a birthday nearby. We don't do fancy gift wrapping with huge bows, just simple paper and tape. My daughter helps me out on the weekends when the college students come in to buy stuff for their friends. We don't have a computer for the accounts; I just write everything down in a big ledger. It works for us. Sometimes we run out of the popular items and people get a bit disappointed, but we try to order more quickly. It’s just a neighborhood gift shop where you can find something small without spending too much. The apartment building is old, but it’s a good spot for a business. We see the same faces every week, which is nice.
