We’ve been here at Gandhi Nagar for quite a while now. The shop is tucked away on the corner of 2nd Cross and 1st Street. It isn't a huge place, but we keep it packed with all sorts of bits and pieces for cars and bikes. Most mornings start with dusting off the shelves and checking what came in the night before. Usually, it's just a few of us here. Someone will walk in looking for a specific bolt or a headlight cover that’s hard to find elsewhere. We spend a lot of time looking through old catalogs or searching the back room. Sometimes the tea man comes by twice if it's a slow afternoon. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons because the sun hits the front door directly. We have a small fan that tries its best. People from around the neighborhood know us by name, which is nice. We don't really do much fancy stuff, just handle the spare parts. There’s a lot of grease and metal around. If you walk past the No. 28 sign, you’ll see the stacks of boxes. It’s a bit messy inside, but we generally know where everything is. Sometimes a customer has to wait while we dig through the crates. That’s just how it goes when you’ve been collecting stock for years. We try to stay organized but it’s a constant battle with the inventory coming in and going out every day.
