Our office is in a residential-style building called Mithilam, specifically Flat No. 1. It’s located on 5th Main Road in Anna Nagar, which is a nice, leafy part of Chennai. The address used to be Y-14, but they changed it to New No Y-87, which sometimes confuses delivery drivers. We’ve been here long enough that most people know the building. It doesn't feel like a cold corporate office because it’s basically a flat. We have a small kitchen area where we make coffee, and the rooms have been converted into workspace. There are large windows that let in the light, but we keep the fans going all day because of the Chennai heat. Working in Anna Nagar is good because the roads are wide and there are trees along the path. We handle all our export work from here, mostly sitting at our desks and dealing with paperwork and phone calls. It’s a quiet atmosphere inside, a big contrast to the busy 5th Main Road outside. We have a few cupboards filled with files and some samples of what we export. There’s no big sign outside, just a small nameplate near the door. The staff is small, and we’ve all worked together for a long time. We like the neighborhood feel of this place. It makes the workday feel a bit more relaxed than being in a massive office block downtown. We just keep things moving at our own pace.
