Square Woods

We are tucked away at 153 Sundararajan Street in Gnanamurthy Nagar. It’s over in the Korattur area of Ambattur. Our workshop and space aren't very large, but we make it work for what we need. You’ll usually hear the sound of work going on before you even see the door. We spend most of our time dealing with wood, so there’s always a bit of sawdust on the floor no matter how much we sweep. It’s a local operation, mostly just a couple of us handling the tools and moving materials around. The street is usually quiet, which we like, though getting large deliveries in can be a bit of a headache because of the narrow turns. We don't have a fancy showroom with bright lights. Instead, you just see the work in progress and the wood we have stacked up against the walls at Square Woods. It’s a practical place for people who actually do the work themselves. We’ve been in Ambattur for a good while and we like the community here. There’s no corporate talk or big promises, just us working with our hands and trying to finish things on time. Sometimes a project takes a bit longer than we thought, but that’s just how it goes when you’re building stuff. We keep the doors open and just get on with the day’s tasks.
