You can find us at 51 Poonamallee in Pattabiram. The shop is called Speed Auto Parts, and it is basically a wall-to-wall collection of metal and plastic components for vehicles. There are boxes stacked up everywhere, and sometimes it takes us a minute to find the exact part someone is looking for. We spend a lot of time looking through catalogs and checking the bins in the back. It is a greasy kind of job, so our hands are rarely clean. People come in with parts that have stopped working, and we try to find the match so they can get back on the road. The shop is right on the main road, so we hear the buses and bikes going by all day long. It is a small space, and it usually smells a bit like oil and rubber. We don't have a lot of room for people to hang around, so it is mostly just people coming in, getting what they need, and leaving. We try to keep a good variety of stuff for different makes and models. Sometimes we have to order things in, which takes a few days to arrive.
