You can find us on the second floor of number 82 on Narayana Mudali Street. It’s right in the middle of Sowcarpet, which everyone knows is one of the most crowded parts of the city. We’re very close to the Flower Bazar Police Station, which actually helps when you’re trying to give people directions. Being on the second floor means we’re a little bit away from the noise of the street, but you can still hear the scooters and the shouting from the market all day long. We’ve been here at Lata International for a long time. We handle a lot of different items, mostly stuff that comes in through the port and needs to be distributed to local shops. The office is small and filled with files and old ledgers. We don’t have a big staff, just a few of us who know where everything is kept. It gets really busy around the festivals because this whole area turns into a madhouse. We just try to keep our heads down and get the work done. The elevator in the building is a bit temperamental, so we end up taking the stairs more often than we’d like. It’s a practical business. We don't spend money on fancy furniture or decorations. We just focus on making sure the orders are correct and that our suppliers are happy. That is the way we've done it for years.
