J.K.Electricals is at No. 72 Narayana Mudali Street. If you’ve ever walked down Narayana Mudali Street, you know how narrow and packed it is. It’s one of those old parts of town where every shop is overflowing with stuff. We are no different. Our shop is full of wires, light bulbs, switches, and rolls of conduit. It’s hard to move around sometimes because we have so much stock. We’ve been here for a long time, and we know where every single item is hidden, even if it looks like a mess to someone else. Customers come in all day long, mostly looking for some specific part for their house or shop. We spend a lot of time climbing ladders to reach the top shelves. There’s always a lot of shouting and honking from the street outside, but we don't even notice it anymore. We usually have tea delivered in small glasses a couple of times a day. It’s a family-run kind of feel here. We don't use a computer for everything; we still have our old ledgers for some things. The shop is small and a bit dark, but it’s home to us. We don't do any big advertising. People just know that if they need something electrical and they are in the neighborhood, they can stop by and we will probably have it. It’s a simple way to run a business and we’ve been doing it like this for decades.
