Southern Magnetics Pvt. Ltd., Chennai

We've been running Southern Magnetics Pvt. Ltd. from our spot in Thiruvanmiyur for quite some time now. You’ll find us over at No. 2/3 in the Dr. V.S. Instronics Estate. It’s a busy place, especially with all the other units around here in Chennai. The heat gets a bit much sometimes, but we just get on with it. We handle a lot of technical work related to magnets and electrical stuff, mostly because that’s what we’ve always done. It’s not a fancy office or anything, just a solid workspace where the machines are always humming. Most of the guys here have been with us for years, so we all know how things work. Sometimes the traffic in Chennai makes getting parts in and out a bit of a headache, but we manage. We aren’t trying to be the biggest company in India or anything like that. We just want to do the work right and make sure the orders go out without too many mistakes. The estate is a good location for us because it’s got the right power setup and enough space for the equipment. If you come by, you’ll probably see a few of us sitting near the entrance during lunch. It’s a straightforward business. We don't spend much time on fancy brochures or websites. We just stay busy with the day-to-day tasks at the shop floor and try to keep everything running smoothly without too much fuss.
