South India Sports & Services (P) Ltd.

We are over at 15, Nungambakkam High Road. Being in such a central spot means it’s always loud outside with the cars and buses. South India Sports & Services (P) Ltd. is a bit of a mouthful of a name, but we just think of it as our workspace. We have sports equipment tucked into every corner and the back room is always a mess of nets and balls. It’s a practical place, not a showroom for looking pretty. We spend a lot of time on the phone with schools or local clubs. Sometimes we’re out back fixing a piece of gear or checking a shipment that just came in. It gets pretty hot in here during the afternoons, and the ceiling fans have to work overtime. We don’t have a lot of staff, so everyone ends up doing a bit of everything, from answering phones to moving heavy boxes. It’s not a polished corporate life. We have a small fridge for cold water and a calendar on the wall with too many notes scribbled on it. People come in and out all day, usually in a hurry. We just try to keep up with the demand and make sure we don’t lose track of anything. It’s basic, honest work in a busy part of town.
