Smr Travels & Transports

We are based at Smr Travels & Transports, located inside Roop Chamber at D 407. That’s up on the fourth floor, so it’s a bit of a hike if you aren’t using the lift. The address is 43/44 Erulappan Street, right in the Sowcarpet area of Chennai. If you know where Elephant Gate is, we are quite close to that. Sowcarpet is always packed with shops and people selling all sorts of things, so finding our building can be a bit of a task the first time. We handle both tours and transport stuff from this office. It’s mostly just sitting at the desks, looking over schedules, and talking to drivers or travelers on the phone. The office isn't very large, but it’s where all the planning happens. Since we are on the fourth floor, it’s a little quieter than the street level, though you can still hear the city down below. We deal with moving things and people, which means there’s always a lot of coordination involved. It’s a lot of writing things down in ledgers and checking the maps. We’ve been here for a bit, and we know the Sowcarpet lanes pretty well. It’s a hardworking part of town, and we fit right in with that. People come to us when they have something to move or a place they need to visit. We just try to get the job done without making it complicated.
