Site Engineer

My name is V. Ganeshkumar and I am a site engineer here in Madurai. My place is at 346, S. Aulangulam 7th Street. It is a local neighborhood and I have been here in Tamilnadu all my life. Working as a site engineer involves a lot of early mornings and late nights. I usually start my day at the house and then head out to whatever project is currently under construction. Madurai-17 is a busy area, and 7th Street is where I keep all my tools and documents. I do not have a big corporate setup. It is just a practical space for a practical job. People in the area know me as the guy who is always at the site. I like being hands-on with the work. You cannot really understand a building project from behind a desk, so I am usually out there in the dirt and the sun. S. Aulangulam is a good spot because it is easy to get to different parts of the city from here. I do not use much marketing or advertising. Most of what I do comes from people just knowing my name and where I live on 7th street. It is honest work and I try to keep it simple. Sometimes the rain in Madurai slows things down, but we just wait it out and get back to it. That is how we do things here.
