Our office is located at 55(121) on Anna Main Road, right in the M.G.R. Nagar area of K.K. Nagar here in Chennai. It’s a busy spot, and finding a place to park can be a bit of a challenge sometimes. The building is an older one, but it’s sturdy and keeps us dry when the monsoon rains hit. We spend our days here managing the chit fund groups and making sure everyone’s accounts are up to date. The office is small, so we have to stay very organized with our filing cabinets. Chennai can get incredibly hot, so we have a couple of fans going full blast all day long. We aren't a big corporate entity with hundreds of employees. It’s just a small team of us who know each other well. We don't use any complicated jargon when we talk to the people who come in. We just explain how the month went and what needs to be done. Anna Main Road is always full of life, with vendors and shops everywhere. Sometimes we get distracted by the smell of food from the nearby stalls. We’ve been at this address for a while now and have become part of the neighborhood fabric. It’s not a glamorous job, but we take it seriously and try to be as accurate as possible with the numbers. We usually keep a large water pot in the corner for anyone who is thirsty.
