Simha And Co.

Our office is at No. 7 on Srinivasaiyer Street in West Mambalam. It’s an old part of Chennai, and it feels like it too. The street is narrow and you’ll often see cows walking past or people heading to the temple. Simha And Co. has been here for years, and the building definitely shows its age. We don’t have air conditioning in most of the rooms, just old ceiling fans that creak a bit when they’re on high speed. We handle a lot of paperwork and administrative tasks, so there are ledgers and files stacked up to the ceiling in some corners. It’s a quiet place for the most part, except for the sound of the traffic from the main road. We don’t have a big staff, just a few people who have been with the family for a long time. We drink a lot of coffee throughout the day to keep ourselves going. The atmosphere is very relaxed, and we know almost everyone who lives on the street. It’s not the kind of place where people wear suits and ties. We just come in, do our work, and head home in the evening. We don't have a big corporate plan or anything like that. We just try to stay organized and help out the people who come to us with their requirements. It’s a simple, traditional way of running things. Sometimes we sit out on the front step in the evening just to watch the world go by before locking up.
