If you head down to Broadway in Chennai and look for Sambiyar Street, that’s where you’ll find us at number 9. It’s an old part of the city, and it gets incredibly crowded with people and carts and trucks all day long. We’ve been here for quite some time, focusing on rail and multimodal transport. It’s a noisy, busy place to work, but it fits the kind of work we do. Moving things by rail involves a lot of coordination with different departments, and being in the heart of the business district helps in a way. The office itself is pretty simple. No one here is wearing fancy suits or anything. We’re usually in plain clothes, dealing with manifests and tracking numbers. Broadway has its own rhythm, and we’re just a small part of it. We don't spend time writing up big promises about being the best. We just try to make sure the containers get loaded onto the right trains and reach the right hubs. It’s dusty and loud outside, and sometimes the office gets a bit chaotic when several things happen at once. But we know the routes and the people involved, so we manage to get it done.
