Chennai can be a very busy place, and Saidapet is definitely one of those spots where there is always something happening on the streets. Shri Balaji Agencies has been tucked away in this neighborhood for some time. The street is a bit narrow, so getting large deliveries in can be a bit of a puzzle sometimes. We spend our mornings opening up the shop and checking what came in the day before. It is mostly just a few of us here handling the agency work. We talk to a lot of people throughout the day, mostly locals or folks coming in for specific items. It gets quite warm in the afternoons, so we usually have the door open to catch whatever breeze comes through the street. We don't have a marketing team or anyone writing fancy brochures for us. We just know our products and we know who needs them. Sometimes we sit outside on the steps when things are slow and watch the traffic go by toward the temple. It is a simple way of living and working. We focus on getting the right items to the right people without a lot of talking. It is just how things are done here in this part of Chennai. We keep it straightforward and don't try to be something we are not. Our focus is just on the daily tasks at the shop.
