Shree Banumathi Agencies is tucked away at No. 42/26 on Sadayappan Street. If you know the Seven Well area, you know how tight these roads can get. It’s a real squeeze when the delivery vans try to back in, and there is usually a lot of shouting and hand waving involved to get things parked right. Our place isn't big, but we use every inch of the space we have. The walls are lined with shelves that go all the way to the ceiling, filled with whatever stock we are moving that week. It’s a neighborhood spot, really. We see the same faces every day, and most of our neighbors have been running their own shops for decades. There is a specific rhythm to Sadayappan Street, with the tea stalls opening early and the noise of the city starting up before the sun is even fully out. We spend most of our time checking invoices and making sure the counts are right. It can get a bit dusty with all the cardboard boxes moving around, but that’s just part of the job. We don’t have a fancy website or a marketing team. We just open the shutters in the morning and start working through the pile of orders that came in. It’s an honest way to spend the day, even if the space is a bit cramped and the old fans make a clicking sound that we’ve all stopped noticing years ago.
