Shravanthika Exports is a small operation located at number 19/1 on Pachiappan Street in Triplicane. This part of Chennai is always full of life, with the narrow streets and the old buildings everywhere you look. Working here means you are always part of the neighborhood noise, from the temple bells to the vendors shouting nearby. Our office is a bit of a tight fit because we have so many boxes ready to go out. We spend most of our time checking orders and making sure the packaging is strong enough for a long trip. It’s a lot of repetitive work, like taping boxes and writing out labels by hand when the printer acts up. We don’t have a big team, just a few of us who have been doing this for years. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to sit and wait it out, which is just part of living and working in Triplicane. We don’t have a fancy website or a marketing department. Most of our business comes from people we’ve known for a long time. It’s a simple life, focused on moving goods from one place to another without making too much of a fuss. The office gets a bit dusty with all the cardboard, but we try to keep it as tidy as possible while we wait for the next delivery truck to arrive. It is just about getting the shipments out on time.
