Shiva & Company

Shiva & Company is right in the heart of Parrys at 34 Audiappan Naicken. We are on the first floor. If you know Parrys, you know how crowded it gets with all the shops and the narrow streets. It is a very busy market area. Our office is old and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint. We have desks piled high with ledgers and files. There is always the sound of horns and people shouting from the street below. We’ve been in this spot for a long time. It’s a small space, so we have to be organized, though it might not look like it to an outsider. We do a bit of everything here in terms of trading and local business. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just know to come to the first floor on Audiappan Naicken. We drink a lot of coffee from the nearby shops to stay awake during the long afternoons. It’s a tight-knit community of traders around here. We know our neighbors and they know us. We don’t try to be something we aren't. We are just a small company trying to make a living in a very busy part of Chennai. Sometimes the power goes out or the rain floods the street, but we just keep going. It’s the only way to survive in Parrys. We've been through many seasons in this building.
