Ship India Logistics Pvt Ltd has its office at No 69/5 on the 5th level of a building on Armenian Street in Parrys. Parrys is one of the oldest and busiest parts of Chennai, located right near the Beach Station. It is a very crowded place with narrow streets and a lot of history. Being on the 5th level gives us a bit of distance from the noise of the street, but you can still hear the trains and the general buzz of the market. Our work is all about shipping and logistics. This means we spend our hours looking at manifests and talking to people at the port. It is an area where business has been done for centuries, and we are just a small part of that tradition now. The office is functional and gets the job done. We deal with a lot of different people every day, from truck owners to port officials. There is always a lot of paperwork to move around, and sometimes it feels like we are drowning in forms. Armenian Street is a famous spot, and it’s interesting to be working in such a historic area. We aren't doing anything revolutionary. We just handle the logistics side of things, making sure that cargo moves through the city and the port as it should. It is a lot of coordination and sometimes a bit of stress when things are running late.
