Shanti Furnitures

Shanti Furnitures is located right at No 1, Venkatrayan Street. It's just off NSC Bose Road in the Park Town area. If you know that part of town, you know it is incredibly crowded and loud most of the time. Being at address number one means we are right there where the action starts. We’ve been here for years, dealing with all sorts of furniture. The shop is full of wooden pieces, and sometimes it's hard to even walk through the aisles when a new shipment arrives. Park Town is a hub for trading, so there is always someone looking for a specific kind of chair or a table. We don't spend money on big ads or fancy signs. Most of our walk-ins are people who have seen us here for decades. The heat in the summer can be tough, especially with all the heavy lifting, but we just get on with it. We drink a lot of tea and talk to the regulars who pass by. It’s a very grounded way to work. We know the other shopkeepers on Venkatrayan Street well. It’s like a little family in a way. We just keep the doors open and see who comes in. There’s no mission statement or corporate philosophy here. We just sell furniture and try to make enough to keep going. It’s a simple life in a busy part of the city.
