Seven Hills Exports

Down here at #46/54 Meenambal Salai in Vivakananda Nagar, things move at their own pace. Seven Hills Exports is located in a pretty active part of the neighborhood. You can hear the motorbikes zipping past all the time. Our office is a simple setup with a few computers and some sturdy tables for packing. We don't really have a reception area or anything like that because we're usually too busy in the back. If you walked in, you’d probably see one of us leaning over a ledger or arguing with a delivery driver about where to park his van. It's a hands-on kind of job. We don't spend a lot of money on decorations because we’d rather just have good equipment that doesn't break down. Sometimes we have lunch together at the big table, and we talk about stuff other than work, like family or what's happening in the news. It’s a small team, so we all know each other’s quirks. If a box is too heavy, there’s always someone to help lift it. We try to stay organized, but during the peak season, things can get a bit cluttered with samples and shipping documents. It’s just part of the trade. We do our best to stay on top of the schedule and keep things moving out the door toward wherever they’re supposed to go. The afternoon sun hits the front window pretty hard, so we usually keep the blinds pulled halfway down to stay cool.
