We are located at 11, Old No. 168/2, on P.N. Ramamurthy Road. If you know the area, we are right opposite Kannammal Nagar in Valasaravakkam. It’s a bit of a mouthful of an address, but we’ve been here long enough that most local folks can find us without much trouble. Scientific Equipments Mfg. Co. is exactly what it sounds like. We make things for labs and schools. The workshop is usually a mess of wires, metal bits, and glass, but there’s a system to it all, even if it doesn't look like it to an outsider. We aren't a giant factory with robots; it’s mostly manual work and careful assembly. Sometimes the rain makes the road outside a bit muddy, but we still get our shipments out. We don’t have a marketing team or a fancy website that gets updated every day. Most of our business comes from people who have known us for years. We sit at our benches, follow the diagrams, and put the pieces together. It’s quiet work for the most part, except when the heavy machinery is running. We drink a lot of tea and talk about the news while we work. It’s a decent living. We don't pretend to be anything we aren't. We just make the equipment and hope it serves its purpose well for whoever buys it. That’s how we’ve always handled things.
