Sauder American Furniture

Sauder American Furniture is tucked away a bit, located at number 28 on Vijayaraghavachari Road in T Nagar. A good way to find us is to look behind Hotel Residency. T Nagar is always a maze of traffic and people, but once you get onto our street, it’s a little different. We handle a lot of the Sauder brand pieces, which is mostly furniture that comes in boxes. Spending the day assembling things or explaining how the parts fit together is pretty much our life here. The shop has a specific smell of wood and cardboard that you get used to. We aren't a massive department store, just a dedicated space in a busy part of town. Sometimes the humidity in Chennai makes the work a bit tiring, but we keep the fans going. We have been at this T Nagar address for some time now, and we’ve seen the shops around us change a lot. It’s a practical kind of place. We don’t go for big polished speeches. If you want to know about a desk or a cabinet, we just show you the pieces and how they stay together. Working behind the hotel means it’s slightly quieter than the main road, which we appreciate. It’s just us here, moving boxes and making sure the inventory is right. It’s a lot of manual work, but it keeps us busy and the day goes by fast.
