At No. 13 Gajalakshmi Nagar, right on the Ramdass Nagar Main Road in Kattupakkam, you’ll find Global Exports & Imports. We deal with moving goods back and forth. It’s a lot of logistics and talking to people on the phone. Our office is basically a room full of ledgers, shipping manifests, and a lot of coffee mugs. We’ve been here in Kattupakkam for a while now. The main road can be a bit of a nightmare during rush hour, which makes getting deliveries out on time a bit of a challenge sometimes. We handle all sorts of products, whatever needs to go from one place to another. It’s a lot of paperwork. You wouldn’t believe the amount of forms required just to move a crate. We aren't some massive shipping firm with a hundred trucks. We’re smaller, which means we have to be more hands-on with everything. If a shipment is stuck at a port, we’re the ones making the calls to find out why. It’s stressful but it keeps things interesting. We don't have a fancy lobby or a receptionist. If you come by, you’ll probably just see us hunched over desks or checking the stock in the back. It’s a practical business. We just focus on getting the items where they need to go without making a big fuss about it. We’ve learned that things rarely go as planned, so we just adapt and keep moving the goods through every day.
