Sanghvi Electricals Co

If you have ever been to Sowcarpet, you know how crowded it gets around Narayan Mudali Street. Our shop, Sanghvi Electricals Co, is at number 85, right near the Mahashakthi Hotel. You can usually smell the food from the hotel while we are working. The street is so narrow that it is hard to get things delivered sometimes. We have boxes of wires, switches, and all sorts of electrical parts stacked all the way to the ceiling. It is a bit of a maze inside, but we know where everything is kept. Customers come in all day asking for things we have to go find in the back. It is noisy outside with all the rickshaws and people shouting. We spend a lot of time untangling things or counting out small parts for people. The fans in the ceiling keep the air moving, but it still gets quite hot in the afternoons. We have been here in this spot for a long time now. Most of the people who come in are regulars from the neighborhood. We don't have a computer system that does everything, so we still write a lot of things down by hand in our books. It is just the way we have always done it. Sometimes we sit on the steps for a minute when it gets quiet, but that doesn't happen very often in Sowcarpet. There is always someone looking for a specific fuse or a length of cable. We just keep the shelves stocked and keep going.
