We are located over in Velacherry, which is a part of Chennai that has really grown a lot lately. Our office is on Shanthi Street, at New No: 15, in the Dr. Seethapathy Nagar area. It’s a residential-feeling street but there are more businesses popping up all the time. We’ve been working on foundations and building stuff for quite a while now. The office is usually a bit of a mess with blueprints and samples of materials like bricks or tiles. There is always someone coming in or out, usually with mud on their shoes from a site visit. Chennai weather is famous for the heat, so we keep the AC running as much as we can, though it doesn't always keep up with the afternoon sun. We have a small team here. Most of us have been in the construction line for years, so we don't need to say much to know what needs doing. We sit around a big old wooden table for our morning chats. It’s not a place for fancy talk. We just discuss the day's schedule and get to it. Shanthi Street is generally okay for parking, which is a relief in a city like this. We know the shopkeepers nearby and often get our lunch from the small eateries around the corner. It's a busy life, but it’s what we know. Being in Velacherry keeps us close to the action and the people we build for. It’s an honest way to spend the day.
