Sai Veterinary Pet Clinic

Basant Nagar is a nice place to be, especially with Elliots Beach right across from us. You can usually smell the salt in the air if the wind is blowing the right way. Sai Veterinary Pet Clinic sits on 26th Cross Street, and we’ve seen this neighborhood change a lot over the years. We’re right opposite the beach area and Rajaji Bhavan, so there’s always people walking by. It gets busy on weekends with folks taking their dogs for walks on the sand. Then they bring them in here with sandy paws and we have to sweep up every hour. The clinic isn't very big, but we have enough room for what we do. It’s mostly local families who live around Basant Nagar coming in. We keep a bowl of water outside for the strays too. Sometimes it gets a bit loud when a big dog doesn’t want to come inside the door. We don't have a big corporate team, just a few of us who like animals and live nearby. The chairs in the waiting room are a bit mismatched. We spend our mornings getting things set up and the afternoons are usually a rush. It’s a decent life working here near the water. You get used to the humidity and the constant noise of the street. We’re just a regular local spot for people and their pets. It's not a flashy place, just practical. We keep going and doing our thing.
