Saligramam is a busy place and we are right in the middle of it. Our shop is on the second floor at number 10 on Arunachalam Road. The traffic noise comes right through the windows most days, especially during the morning rush. We handle phone stuff and general communication gear. It is a small place but it fits our needs perfectly. I started this because I liked messing with gadgets when I was younger. Now it is just my daily job. The building is older so the elevator acts up sometimes, which means we walk the stairs a lot. Most of our neighbors are small businesses too. We see the same faces every morning at the tea stall on the corner. It’s not a corporate vibe here at all. We have boxes piled up in the corner that we haven’t sorted in months. It’s just part of the job. My cousin helps out sometimes when things get busy. We don't have a big neon sign outside, just a small one near the main door. People find us by word of mouth mostly. We drink a lot of tea while we work to stay sharp. The rainy season is tough because the street floods a bit but we always manage to stay open. If you come by, you’ll probably see me at the back desk with a bunch of wires in front of me. It’s a quiet life in a loud neighborhood. We just do our thing and go home.
