S. K Pet Speciality Clinic

Our clinic is located at No 164 on Sri Devikuppam Main Road. If you know Valasaravakkam, you know how busy this stretch can get. We spend our days dealing with a lot of barking and meowing, which is pretty much what you expect when you work with animals. The space isn’t huge, but we make it work for the pets that come through the door. Usually, the morning starts with cleaning up and getting the exam tables ready. Most of the people who come here live nearby in the residential blocks of Valasaravakkam. They bring in their dogs for shots or because the cat isn’t eating right. It gets noisy sometimes, especially when a big dog doesn't want to get on the scale. We don’t have a fancy lobby with coffee machines or anything like that. It’s just a place for animals to get looked at. The floor is easy to mop because, well, accidents happen with pets. We see the same regulars quite a bit, so we get to know the dogs as they grow up. The traffic outside on the main road never really stops, so there is always a background hum of cars. It’s a straightforward operation here. We just focus on the animals and try to get through the appointments as they come. It’s busy, often messy, but it’s our daily life at the clinic.
