You can find us at No.1 Davidson Street in George Town, which is very close to St Thomas School. We do two different things here, handling mobile phones and also helping people with their travel plans. It might seem like a strange mix, but in a busy place like Chennai 600001, people need both. We spend a lot of time fixing screens or dealing with battery issues for locals who live around here. Then other times, we are looking up bus routes or train seats for someone’s holiday or family visit. The shop is usually a bit cluttered with phone parts and papers, but we know where everything is. Being near a school means there are always kids and parents passing by, so it stays lively. We have been in this spot for a while and have gotten to know the neighbors well. It is not a shiny corporate office, just a small shop where we try to be helpful. Sometimes we are busy with a difficult repair and a customer has to wait a bit, but that’s just how it goes. We use simple tools and an old desk for the travel side of things. George Town is old and the streets are narrow, so parking is always a problem for people coming to see us. We just keep the doors open and do what needs doing every day. It is a noisy street but we are used to the sound of the school bell.
