S. R. Brothers

We are located at 189 Pycrofts Road in Royapettah, which is a pretty well-known stretch of road if you spend any time in Chennai. It’s always crowded outside with traffic and people heading toward the shops or the beach. Our building isn't anything modern or shiny; it’s an older structure that’s seen a lot of seasons. Inside S. R. Brothers, it’s mostly just us trying to keep things moving. The ceiling fans hum constantly to deal with that Chennai humidity, and there’s usually a stack of ledgers or boxes somewhere they shouldn't be. We’ve got a window that looks out onto the street, but mostly we just hear the horns and the buses rumbling past. It’s a practical setup for us. We don’t go in for fancy decorations or a reception desk with someone waiting. If you walk in, you’ll just see us working at our desks or talking about what needs to get done next. The neighborhood has changed a lot over the years, but 189 stays pretty much the same. We like being here because everything is close by, even if the parking is a total nightmare. It’s just a basic workplace where we put in our hours and go home. There’s a certain rhythm to the day here that we’ve gotten used to, and it feels like home now, despite the noise and the dust from Pycrofts Road. It's not perfect, but it's where we do our best work.
