Rohini Gift

Our shop, Rohini Gift, is tucked away on the 1st floor at 7/1 Krishna Lyer Street. Being on the first floor means you have to walk up the stairs, so we do not always get the random people walking past on the sidewalk, but the locals know we are here. The space is filled with all kinds of things that might make a good present, like photo frames, small statues, and various household items. Krishna Lyer Street is a busy place, but once you come up to our floor, it is a bit quieter. We spend a lot of our day unpacking boxes and trying to find room for new stock on the shelves. Sometimes it feels like we have too much stuff and not enough space, but we manage to keep it going. When someone buys a gift, we usually have some wrapping paper ready, though we are not experts at making those big fancy bows you see in movies. We just do a neat job so it looks nice for whoever is receiving it. It is a family-sort of atmosphere here, and we often have tea while waiting for the next customer to climb the stairs. We have been in this spot for a while, and we like the neighborhood. It is just a simple business where we sell things that people might like to give to their friends or family for a special occasion.
