Venus Opticals

You can find us over at No. 2/16 on S. P. Road in Redhills. It’s a decent-sized shop, though we’ve managed to cram a lot of frames into the display cases over the years. Redhills is a busy place, and S. P. Road always has people walking back and forth. We spend our days helping people pick out glasses and fixing hinges that have come loose. It’s a lot of small, finicky work with tiny screws and screwdrivers that are easy to lose. The shop isn't anything spectacular to look at, just a regular place with good lighting so people can see how they look in the mirror. We don't go in for big sales pitches. If a frame looks good on you, we'll tell you, and if it doesn't, we'll probably say that too. It’s better to be honest about these things. We have a little back area where we do some of the lens cutting. It can get a bit messy back there with all the shavings. We’ve been part of this community for a bit, and we know many of the faces that pass by the window every day. Sometimes we just sit on the stools and talk about the weather or how the traffic is getting worse. It’s a simple business, and we’re happy to keep it that way without making things too complicated for ourselves or the customers.
