Rasaiyee Chits Private Limited is situated in Royapettah. Specifically, we are at New No. 29 on Srinivasa Perumal Sannathi 2nd Street. It’s one of those typical Chennai streets where things can feel a bit crowded but everyone knows each other. Our office is right there among the houses and other small businesses. We spend our days managing the chit groups. It involves a lot of counting, recording names, and making sure the monthly cycles run without any hitches. People from around Royapettah walk in frequently, sometimes just to ask a question or drop off their payment for the month. We have a couple of desks and some chairs for people to wait. It’s not a corporate setup at all. We prefer it this way because it feels more like a part of the community. The street outside has a lot of movement, especially with the temple nearby. Sometimes the sounds from the street come right into the office, but that’s just Royapettah for you. We keep our records organized in big files. Each day is mostly about making sure the entries are correct and talking to the members who come by. It is straightforward work that keeps us busy from morning until we close up in the evening. There are no secrets here, just a small group of us doing the daily tasks of a chit company. We stay open on most days except for Sundays and big holidays.
