Ramjee Leathers & Supplies

Our business, Ramjee Leathers & Supplies, is located at units A-14 and 15 in the Sidco Industrial Estate in Arumbakkam. We’re right near the MMDA Colony. Having two units side-by-side gives us a decent amount of room, but we still manage to fill it up with supplies and tools. It’s an industrial area, so there’s always the sound of trucks and other workshops nearby. We don’t have a fancy front office. When you walk in, you’re pretty much right in the middle of the workspace. There are shelves reaching up to the ceiling loaded with different materials. We spend a lot of our day moving things around and checking what we have in stock. It’s a hands-on job, so our clothes usually get a bit dirty by the end of the shift. We don’t worry about that too much. The team here is small, and we mostly just talk about the work or what’s for dinner. We don’t have any polished marketing materials or a big mission statement on the wall. We just know what needs to be done and we do it. Sometimes the power goes out in the estate, and we just take a break until it comes back on. It’s just one of those things you deal with. We’ve been in Arumbakkam for a long time and we know how to keep things moving. We just stay busy with the orders.
