Ram H is our little spot in the Satrasala Complex. We are at No 11/12, right in Kasi Chetty Lane. If you’ve ever been to Sowcarpet, you know how narrow and busy Kasi Chetty Lane is. It’s a maze of shops and people carrying boxes. We deal with whatever comes through. Mostly wholesale or retail goods, typical for this area. It’s a crowded space, stacked with items from floor to ceiling. We don't have a lot of room to move around, but we know where everything is. It’s a family-style setup, really. We’ve been in this complex for a good while. The lights are a bit dim sometimes and the air is thick, but that’s just how Kasi Chetty Lane feels. We talk to a lot of different people every day. Some are buying for their own shops, others just want a single thing. We try to be fair with everyone. It gets very loud outside with all the carts and shouting. Inside, we just focus on the orders. We don't use fancy software or anything. Just ledgers and a lot of memory. It’s an honest way to spend the day. If you can find your way through the crowd to the Satrasala Complex, you’ll see us. We’re just regular people trying to run a shop in one of the busiest parts of Chennai. Sometimes we have to yell to be heard over the traffic outside. It's just part of the day-to-day life here.
