It is always a bit chaotic on Narayan Mudali Street. If you have ever been to this part of Chennai, you know how narrow the lanes are and how many people are constantly moving around. Our place, Rajguru Adhesive Tapes Co. (P) Ltd., is right in the middle of all that at number 24. We have rolls of tape everywhere you look. The smell of adhesive is something you just live with every day. We aren't in some quiet office park; we are right where the trade happens. The shop is small and usually crowded with boxes and customers asking about different types of tape. We spend most of the day cutting, packing, and moving stock through the narrow doorway. It is loud outside with the horns and the shouting of the street vendors, but we just keep at it. Sometimes the heat in Chennai makes the tape extra sticky, which can be a real pain to deal with. We don't have a lot of space, so everything has to be organized just right or we won't be able to move. It’s a family-run kind of vibe where we all know what needs to be done. We just focus on getting the rolls out to the people who need them and keeping the inventory straight. It’s busy, it’s cramped, and it’s always moving, but that is just life on this street.
