We’ve been tucked away on Casa Major Road for quite some time now. The address is No 25, though some people still use the old No 12. Egmore is a central spot, so we get a lot of people dropping in to ask questions. It’s not a fancy office, just some old desks and a lot of filing cabinets. We do a mix of things here. Mostly it’s about getting plans together and making sure they make sense for the space. We’ve seen the city change a lot from this office window. Raj started the practice and kept it small. We aren't looking to be the biggest firm in town. We like knowing exactly what's going on with every project we take. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic with the traffic outside and the phones ringing, but we manage. We aren't perfect. Sometimes deadlines slide a bit because of some regulation or another. We try to be honest about that. The building we're in is old, but it works for us. We spend our mornings drinking tea and going over drawings. We work with all sorts of people, from neighbors to local shop owners. It’s just steady work. We don't have any big slogans or anything. We just draw what people need and help them figure out where the doors and windows should go. It’s practical work for practical people. Most of our clients have been coming to us for years and we like it that way.
